Craving for artful things

@EmWatson: Ok. I get way too excited in art supply stores. I don't think I can be left unattended anymore.

I feel very much the same! There are endless possibilities to do with art materials. My favorites are tapes and stamps. I love using them on my planner, scrapbooks, letters, collages, and a lot of random things! I was wishing there'd be more art stores here in the Philippines so that people (like me) would be able to develop their handcrafting skills and pour out their imagination through a variety of materials... Which reminds me, my favorite scrapbooking store (The only existing scrapbook store I know of that sells affordable and reallyyyy nice art materials) recently moved out of their place @ Sta. Lucia... so sad :( They moved to Vista Verde, but I haven't visited their new store yet. Too bad they don't have an online store :(

Pretty Packages

I was supposed to meet up with my AA classmate to give her order. She bought a necklace from me. Unfortunately, we weren't able to meet because of some reasons. Here's the homemade package I made, also for my blockmate I'm meeting next week. I didn't have any paper bags, so I just made envelopes :)

Boring Wednesday

Yay! Finished my seatwork for MechDraw1. I still have 2 homeworks to do. Hoho! Edited some pictures 'cause I don't want to do those homeworks right away:

Everyday, there must be something I can do creatively with my hands. Usually I would draw or make some crafts. Today, I redesigned my sister's cork board, since she's in Japan and I'm using her room as my drawing room. Making collages is one of my favorite artsy-fartsy thing to do, I just love combining different papers and tapes and cut outs. I'm not yet done with the cork board though, I need more materials to put, but here, take a look :)

Pencil marks

Today is our second day of classes at the Philippine School of Interior Design, or PSID. We had Freehand Drawing I and our first lesson was learning how to sharpen a pencil. Easy peasy, huh? Wrong. We had to sharpen our H and F pencils using a cutter. The lead should be half an inch long, same with the wood. Then we had to make the lead pointy using a pencil pointer. It was really difficult to do it! I was afraid my pencil would turn out reallyyy short from sharpening. Haha. After sharpening, our prof got all our pencils and commented on them. Mine was too "pregnant." Haha! Well, I need to lessen more wood, it was too bulky. And show more lead.

Our first seatwork was to draw vertical, horizontal, diagonal lines, circles, and letters on a piece of bond paper. It also looks easy, but no. The lines and spacing and everything had to be perfect. Very stressful. We need to make the same plate at home, and I hope can do better this time.

I still have a lot of things to do, you know. Really, I don't know how I manage to do so many things, including blogging. I guess I can say I just like multi-tasking. Though sometimes, I break down. Hahaha

Matchbox Monday

I know it's not Monday, but here's what I did that day:

I was craving for something creative to do with my hands. I forgot where I got the inspiration from, maybe pictures from the internet, and I suddenly wanted to design a matchbox. There are many art materials I have been collecting (I like collecting a LOT of things, I'll show them in my future posts) and I thought that creating unique artworks would make good use of them. Here are the materials I used (some not in picture):
